The height of the frame is selected based on the thickness of the floor tile, adding min. 2 mm of mortar allowance. The design of the frame ensures that it fits exactly into the floor drain unit. The frame is only compatible with ClassicLine grates, and the frame is mandatory for all ClassicLine models.
Unidrain is a slim and stylish linear floor drain that can be safely installed against a wall thanks to its patented steel flange structure. Strong steel protects the floor and wall junction from leaks. Waterproofing is achieved by applying a brushable waterproofing compound to the junction of the steel flanges and the wall or floor surface. The floor can be poured in one direction, and the drain is suitable for floor tiles of all sizes.
The sump assembly consists of four parts: a floor drain fitting, a drain, a frame and a grate or panel. The floor drain fitting and drain are installed before the floor is poured, while the frame and grate are installed after the waterproofing. The sump is easy to clean thanks to the removable water trap with a convenient handle.
The ClassicLine 1500 tiling frame has a rubber seal that ensures a precise fit in the floor drain unit, and the grate sits on top of the recessed edge. The frame is not only an essential part of the drain's function, but also holds the grate in place and makes it easier to finish tiling in an elegant way.
Frame height = tile thickness + approx. 2 mm for tile mortar and waterproofing. The frame height (8, 10 or 12 mm) is determined by the thickness of the floor tile.
