Ordering a toilet installation service

When you order a toilet seat installation service from our online store, an LVI-Eklund installer will contact you within 1–3 business days to arrange an installation time. Installation is usually carried out within approximately 2–5 business days of the seat arriving at the customer, taking into account the location details.

What does the toilet installation service include?

  • Removal of the old toilet seat and, if necessary, removal.
  • Attaching and connecting a new toilet seat to an existing water system and sewer system equipped with a shut-off valve.
  • Install the toilet seat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Testing the functionality of the toilet seat.
  • Removal of installation and packaging waste.

What is not included in the installation service?

The installation service does not cover the following measures:

  • Removing the old toilet seat if it is attached to the base with concrete.
  • Protecting floors and the environment during installation work.
  • Plumbing work other than connecting the toilet to the existing sewer and water system.
  • Construction work, such as working on the floor or wall to ensure the toilet seat fits.
  • Assembling the toilet seat if it is delivered in parts (if necessary, a separate charge of €75/seat will be charged).
  • Drain fittings or connection hoses, unless they are included in the delivery of the toilet. If necessary, the installer will procure suitable parts and charge the customer for them.

Any additional work and materials will be charged separately depending on the actual work. The price of additional work is €75.30/h and the minimum charge is always 1 hour.

What should a customer know before ordering toilet installation?

The installation service is available in the Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo and Kauniainen areas, as well as Kerava, Tuusula, Järvenpää, Kirkkonummi, Nurmijärvi and Sipoo.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the toilet seat is suitable for installation at the location and that the installation can be carried out. In addition, the customer must check the product they receive for any transport damage. If the installer determines that the toilet seat is not suitable for installation or that installation is not possible with the measures included in the service, the customer will be charged for the installer's lost working time (€75.30/h incl. VAT) and mileage compensation (€1.38/km incl. VAT). In this situation, the minimum charge is 1 hour.

The customer should note that a mileage allowance of €1.38/km will be charged for additional work ordered separately, interruption of the installation, and possible supply collection. The mileage allowance is calculated from the installer's travel from the location to the destination and back, as well as for possible supply collection, if they are necessary for the installation.

Things to note for toilet seats installed with adhesive fastening

  • The mounting adhesive must dry untouched for at least 5 hours before use.
  • The adhesive is completely dry 12 hours after installation.

Please note that the product to be installed will be delivered directly to the customer in accordance with Balneo's online store delivery terms. The installer will not bring the toilet seat with him.
